South Carolina Contractor License (SC)

A contractors license is required in South Carolina (SC) for any commercial work that exceeds over $5,000 in value.  Residential general work over $5,000 and residential specialty work over $200 also requires a state license.  Candidates are required to pass two examinations: business and law and the trade.  Applications for commercial licensure can be obtained by calling 1-803-896-4686 and for residential licensure by calling 1-803-896-4696.  Examinations can be scheduled through PSI by calling 1-800-733-9267.  Please select the license/examination that you are interested in.
