Louisiana Business and Law Exam

Requirements:	Please note that the Business and Law examination is required for licensure as an electrical contractor in the State of Louisiana.

Reciprocity:	There are formal written reciprocal agreements with the States of Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Utah as well as the North Carolina Electrical Examiners' Board. The Business and Law examination cannot be waived for out-of-state contractors. However, reciprocity is not automatic, applications will be considered on an individual basis.
Continuing Education:	None at this time.
Exam:	Three-hour time limit Closed Book Fees included with trade exam Topics include: license law, federal and state tax laws, labor laws, estimating and bidding, contracts, project management, risk management, accounting, business organizations, Louisiana lien laws and contractor safety practices
